Aphrodite

Aphrodite is a Gib'Sea 96 Master built in France during 1986 by Gilbert Marine.

She was purchased by Sandy Garrity on 04/06/2016 from Cerian Henshaw at Topsham on the Exe. Prior to that there is evidence of one previous owner Mr Alan Merryweather of Bishops Stortford who purchased the boat from Opal Marine at Chichester Marina.  There is evidence in the documentation that with the boat was kept at Tollesbury in Essex.

Under my ownership the boat was kept on the Exe from 2016 to 2017 when she was moved to King Point Marina in Plymouth where she was berthed until July 2021 when she departed for summer cruise to September from Plymouth to Peterhead, Scotland and back on return to Plymouth she came ashore for winter storage at Treluggan Boatyard in Cornwall.

During that trip there was a rumble from the P bracket and during the time at Treluggan the P bracket was re-glassed in, the metal stern tube replaced with a spun glass tube and the stuffing box replaced with a Radice seal.

At the start of the 2023 season she went onto a mooring SA 45 off Saltash Sailing Club.
